Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Cut Power In Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have come under increased strikes in recent weeks

Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered interruptions to water supplies, according to municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a minor was lost their life in a distinct Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, as reported by regional authorities.

Russian forces has escalated attacks on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "real steps" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the G7 - in providing air defence systems and enforcing restrictions," he wrote in a public message.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were laboring to fix the damage.

A series of attacks struck energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, according to city authorities.

Regional authorities said the city endured heavy assaults overnight. A young boy lost their life and several individuals were hurt.

The assaults come after nights of aerial attacks in the area, portions of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to detect.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already affecting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and officials were preparing for additional strikes.
